What happened
Just before 1 a.m. on Monday, October 20, 2025, a house in the 4600 block of Freeman Drive in The Colony exploded and caught fire. The home was leveled, and houses on both sides and behind it caught fire. Firefighters upgraded the call to a three-alarm response (FOX 4).
The house was vacant and listed for sale at the time. No injuries were reported. Crews from The Colony, Lewisville, Plano and Carrollton responded (CBS Texas). The Denton County Arson Task Force investigated, and the cause was under investigation at the time of reporting.
